Deuteronomy 26:6-8

⁶ The Egyptians mistreated and afflicted us. They imposed hard labor on us. ⁷ We cried out to the Lord, the God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our voice, and he saw our affliction, our labor, and oppression. ⁸ The Lord brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand and an outstretched arm and with great awe-inspiring acts and signs and wonders.
